2020... A Year In Review

Wow... how is 2020 already over? This year has been a challenge... for all of us. Once March 13th hit, all of our lives took a turn. Many lost jobs, lost loved ones, got sick, shut down their business, relocated or whatever it may be, all of our lives changed around that time.

On March 12th my family went to Aspen. My dad was already there so we met him. All of our family friends were planning to come the next day. So we get to Aspen and get lunch at one of our favorite places. We see hand sanitizers and hear some talk about the coronavirus. Then, we head to our favorite ski apparel shop (its called performance) and in March they always have a sale. We hop around and we get new ski outfits. While we are in the store, everyone is talking about the coronavirus and what is going on. Next, we go out to dinner and we were having second thoughts about coming to Aspen. The whole dinner we thought about who was touching our plates, utensils, napkins, everything. At the end of dinner, we get a call from our friends and they tell us they are not coming. Once we hear that, we are panicking. We were very fortunate and ended up going home the next day, little did we know how long we really would be quarantined for.

Feeling more grateful than ever this year for so many things. My health, happiness, home, food, clothes, teachers, healthcare workers, essential workers,  my supporters and all of these other things I have. I am so fortunate and thankful for all that I have. Most important is having a happy, healthy safe family. I am also so fortunate for all of YOU guys. Without you, there would be no me. Thank you to all who support me, really thank YOU. I could not have done this without you. I am so excited to go into the New Year to see what's in store for Charlie Cosmetics.

I am so sorry for everyone who lost a loved one, a job, a business, or really just anything that got canceled or taken away because of this virus. This pandemic has made me realize who important family is and how much you need them. My family is a huge part of who I am and I do not know what I would do without them. They help you through everything, the darkest and brightest times and are always there for you. I am so SO fortunate to have such an amazing family. This pandemic has also taught me to be grateful and have gratitude. I truly am so grateful for all that I have and more. And with that said may 2021 be better and be filled with GOOD things. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, safe new year.
